About Recipe

A tart is a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with an open top not covered with pastry. It is filled with coffee filling.

Ingredients
(For crust)-
1cup-Wholewheatflour
1/4cup-Almond flour
1/2cup-Butter
1/2cup- Caster sugar
3-4drops-Fab Coffee Essence
1/4tsp-Pink salt

(For filling)-
2/3cup-Sugar
5tsp-Choclate syrup
1/4tsp-Fab coffee essence
1/2tsp-Salt
4tsp-Butter
90ml-Water
90ml-Milk
6tsp-Corn starch
2tbspn-Cocoa powder

For garnishing salted peanuts & cocoa powder
Method
  • Preheat oven to 180°c.
  • In a food processor,combine crust Ingredients & pulse to combine.
  • Chill the dough in the fridge for 5mins.
  • Roll dough into a large rectangle.cut out the circle,lift the dough circle &place them on the inside of each tart mould.
  • Bake for 20mins until crust is golden brown.let it cool while you are preparing the fillings.
  • Filling-
  • Add all the ingredients into a saucepan,cook on a medium heat.stirring constantly,let simmer for 1min.Turn off the heat & allow mixture to cool slightly.
  • Pour chocolate coffee filling over the tart chill in the fridge to set.
  • Garnish with some salted peanuts & cocoa powder.
